Pakistan’s Counselor Saima Salim while exercising her right to reply against Indian allegations in UN said Indian so called democracy has now turned into a theatre of in tolerance and Islamophobia and hatred have been institutionalized in this theatre. .
She held my delegation is exercising its right to reply to the statement by Indian representative.
Propaganda cannot hide the repression. Falsehood is not converted into truth due to denial. I want to present irrefutable facts.
Occupied Kashmir has never been so called integral part of India. Several resolutions of UN Security Council (UNSC) bear witness to this reality.
She said Pakistan has reiterated its unwavering support to inalienable right to self-determination of Kashmiris. People of Kashmir are victims to state terrorism and gross violation of human rights. India has nothing to hide with it.
India should give access to global human rights organizations and international media to occupied area.
The demand of people of Kashmir is freedom. This was pledged in UNSC resolutions.
The minorities are living in the shadow of fear under Hindutva. Muslims are lynched. Mosques are demolished. Churches are set ablaze. Demands for genocide and hate speeches have become routine.
She underlined this fire of bias has torched the veil of so called secular India. This process has ended both diversity and difference of opinion. Indian record is replete with aggression. Repeated violations were committed against regional integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan.
India is destabilizing the region and sponsoring terrorism.
India has become a threat to peace and stability of South Asia. when world is victim of floods and droughts due to climate change, using water sources as weapon by India is stark violation of global laws. Keeping the Indus water treaty suspended is an insult to human dignity, trampling of human rights of people of Pakistan and deviation from basic norms of neighborhood.
Peace will remain a dream unless India ends its illegal occupation of Occupied Kashmir and shuns its policy of aggression and state terrorism.
Pakistan will continue to stand by its stance with all firmness for peace, justice and rights of oppressed people of Kashmir.
