In response to an alert regarding a suspected dengue cases in the Shahi Bagh area, the Public Health Department of DHO office conducted an emergency visit to the site.
The team, led by Dr. Robina Riaz, in collaboration with Additional Deputy Commissioners Ms. Tayyaba and Ms. Mehreen, carried out active surveillance and immediate response measures. Lady Health Workers (LHWs) in the area were sensitized and briefed on preventive strategies, while the general community was engaged through awareness campaigns focused on dengue prevention.
Furthermore, the local nazim was taken on board. Coordination with the Water Supply and Sanitation Company Mardan (WSSCM) was initiated to address environmental factors contributing to the spread of dengue, including stagnant water and poor sanitation.
Health authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant, eliminate mosquito breeding sites, and report any suspected symptoms promptly to prevent further spread.
