Man held for killing transperson in Peshawar

Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested the prime suspect involved in the blind murder case of transgender person Sabir alias Zeeshan.
The statement said that the arrest was made under the special directives of senior officers and the supervision of DSP Faqirabad Circle, Omar Afridi.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Sanaullah a resident of Gulabad was traced and apprehended following a detailed investigation carried out using modern scientific methods.
The operation was led by SHO Faqirabad Police Station, Bilal Hussain, along with the investigation team.
Sabir alias Zeeshan was shot dead on September 6, 2025, in Afghan Colony, within the jurisdiction of Faqirabad Police Station. Initially, the victim’s father, Bakhtiar Muhammad, had filed a report against unknown persons.
During interrogation, the accused Sanaullah confessed to the crime, stating he committed the murder due to a personal grudge and a failed attempt to establish a friendship with the deceased. Police have also recovered the murder weapon, a pistol, from the accused’s possession.
