An important meeting held here on Tuesday with Additional Chief Secretary (ADC) Home Abid Majeed in the chair, reviewed arrangements for the upcoming Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 examination, said a handout.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Khyber Medical University (KMU), relevant Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, Director General Health, senior officials from the Police, FIA, Intelligence Bureau, and Special Branch.
During the meeting, key decisions were taken to ensure the transparent, peaceful, and exemplary conduct of the MDCAT 2025. It was decided that Section 144 would be enforced around examination centers, and a foolproof security plan has been finalized. Candidates will be verified through NADRA’s biometric system, and a three-tier full body search using modern equipment will be conducted to prevent any malpractice. Surveillance cameras will monitor candidates inside the examination halls to ensure strict vigilance.
The transportation and return of examination materials will be carried out under the supervision of special police squads and the civil administration. Clearance of examination staff will be obtained from intelligence agencies to ensure integrity and security. Walk-through gates, scanners, mobile jammers, and police personnel will be deployed at all examination centers to maintain a secure environment.
Facilities such as restrooms, first aid, on-site doctors, nursing staff, and Rescue 1122 ambulance services will be available for candidates. Special traffic management teams will be formed to ensure smooth flow of traffic, and parents have been advised to use pick-and-drop arrangements instead of parking vehicles near the exam centers.
Officials reaffirmed their commitment to conducting MDCAT 2025 with complete transparency, security, and convenience, providing candidates with a safe and fair examination environment.
