RAWALPINDI: To mark Kashmir Black Day, the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board organized a solidarity walk on Saddar Bank Road, expressing unwavering support for the Kashmiri people and their right to self-determination. The walk was led by Additional CEO Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, Zia Hussain, along with Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal, and was attended by a large number of civil society members. Participants carried banners denouncing Indian atrocities and showing solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Speaking on the occasion, Additional CEO Zia Hussain said the purpose of the walk was to draw the attention of the international community to the grave human rights violations being committed in occupied Kashmir. He said that on October 27, 1947, India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in blatant violation of UN Security Council resolutions. “The Kashmiri people have rendered unmatched sacrifices in their struggle for freedom, and our hearts beat with them,” Zia Hussain said, reaffirming the board’s solidarity with the Kashmiri cause.
