Shafiullah Jan, the newly appointed Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Information and Public Relations, received a rousing and historic welcome upon his arrival in his hometown district of Kohat.
Party workers, supporters and members of various social and trade organizations thronged the streets to greet their beloved leader. Large rallies were held across Kohat city, where jubilant crowds showered him with rose petals and chanted slogans of “Long live Shafiullah Jan” and “Welcome home.”
In Dara Adam Khel, the tribal elders, political figures and youth leaders also turned out in large numbers to receive him warmly. Speakers at a local reception highlighted Shafiullah Jan’s record of public service, citing his contributions to regional development, education and youth engagement.
Community leaders expressed confidence that he would live up to public expectations in his new role. “He comes from a respected and service-oriented family,” one speaker said. “His leadership will further strengthen the province’s communication and development agenda.”
Later, a delegation from the Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its President Rasheed Ahmad Paracha, met Shafiullah Jan to congratulate him. The delegation termed his appointment a positive sign for Kohat and the southern districts, praising his dynamic and people-centered leadership style.
Shafi Jan thanked the crowd and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the Party Chief Imran Khan’s and the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s vision of modernizing the provincial information system. “Bridging the gap between media, the public and government is my top priority,” he said, assuring full support for industrial growth and a conducive investment climate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The crowd that gathered for his reception pledged their continued support and best wishes for his success in serving the province.
