Delegations from diverse sectors call on Deputy Chairman Senate

Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedal Khan, held a series of meetings at the Parliament House with delegations representing parliamentarians, lawyers, doctors, students, tribal elders, and senior journalists. Former Senator Behramand Khan Tangi and former Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman also met the Deputy Chairman along with their respective delegations. During the interactions, Syedal Khan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to national development, economic stability, and public welfare, calling for unity and consensus among all political parties in the greater national interest. Highlighting the government’s special focus on Balochistan, he noted that the province holds a pivotal role in Pakistan’s progress, with special attention being given to development projects and resource allocation for underprivileged communities.
In his meeting with lawyers, the Deputy Chairman emphasized the importance of upholding the Constitution and the rule of law, assuring support for addressing issues faced by the legal fraternity. While speaking to doctors, he praised their service to humanity, stating that healthcare improvement and staff welfare remain key priorities of the government.
Addressing tribal elders, Syedal Khan acknowledged their historic contributions to national unity and defense, reiterating the government’s resolve to protect their rights and representation. He also commended parliamentarians for their role in strengthening democracy, urging them to play a more active part in legislation and policymaking for the public good.
All visiting delegations thanked the Deputy Chairman for his time and appreciated his efforts to promote national cohesion and inclusive development.
