Police on Wednesday claimed to have traced and arrested the accused involved in stealing operating theater equipment worth millions of rupees from a private hospital.
According to police, during a major operation, SHO Kotwali Police Station Fazal Jan successfully traced and arrested individual involved in the crime.
The arrested person has been identified as Asadullah, resident of Mian Gujjar, was a former employee of the hospital.
He reportedly stole the high-value equipment as soon as he got the opportunity.
The accused was apprehended during an investigation conducted using modern scientific methods. During initial questioning, he confessed to his involvement in the theft.
The theft was reported, following which a formal case has been registered at Kotwali Police Station, and further investigations were underway.
