PESHAWAR
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has carried out a major reshuffle of its bureaucracy, transferring and posting 25 senior officers, including secretaries of 13 key departments.
The notification, issued by the provincial establishment department affects several top administrative positions across the province.
According to the notification, Masood Ahmed has been transferred from Secretary Industries and posted as Commissioner Malakand, while Muhammad Javed Marwat has been transferred from Member Board of Revenue and posted as Commissioner Mardan.
Secretary PH Dawood Khan has been transferred and posted as Commissioner D.I. Khan, and Ata-ur-Rehman has been posted as Secretary Auqaf and Religious Affairs.
Other notable changes include Zariful Mani, MD Education Foundation, being relieved from Secretary Livestock; Muhammad Asif transferred from Special Secretary Finance and posted as Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs; Abdul Basit transferred from Special Secretary Education and posted as Secretary Irrigation; and Muhammad Ayaz transferred from Secretary Irrigation and posted as Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination.
In the finance and planning sector, Captain (R) Kamran Afridi has been transferred from Secretary Higher Education and posted as Secretary Finance, replacing Amir Sultan Tareen, who has been transferred from Secretary Finance and posted as Member Board of Revenue.
Muhammad Zubair has been transferred from Secretary Energy and Power and posted as Secretary Transport, while Masood Younis has been transferred from Secretary Transport and posted as Secretary PHE.
Other key moves include Junaid Khan transferred from DG Mines and Minerals and posted as Secretary Climate Change, Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq transferred from Secretary IPC and posted as Secretary C&W, and Saadat Hassan transferred from Secretary Sports and posted as Secretary Culture and Tourism.
Sohail Khan has been transferred from DG EMA and posted as Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation.
Several officers, including Yousuf Rahim, Secretary Relief, and Saqib Raza Aslam, Secretary Local Government, along with Inayatullah Waseem, Secretary Auqaf, and Tahir Orakzai, Secretary Livestock, have been instructed to report to the Establishment Department. Muhammad Israr has been transferred from Secretary C&W and posted as Secretary Higher Education, while Abid Wazir has been transferred from Commissioner Malakand and posted as Secretary Industries, and Nisar Ahmed has been transferred from Commissioner Mardan and posted as Secretary Energy and Power.
Zafarul Islam has been transferred from Commissioner D.I. Khan and posted as Secretary Local Government, and PMS officer Muhammad Asif has been transferred from Additional Secretary Mineral Development and posted as DG Mines and Minerals.
