The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Arshad Ayub Khan, has directed the concerned authorities to ensure the timely completion of educational projects in Haripur district with high quality, while also giving special attention to planting gardens and trees in new schools. He said that the current government, in coordination with the Planning and Development Department, will formulate a strategy for supervising construction works, under which the monitoring of the construction of educational institutions in the province will be made possible.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held in Peshawar on Tuesday regarding the construction work of new schools in Haripur district. The meeting was attended by Member Provincial Assembly Akbar Ayub Khan, Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid Khan, Special Secretary Education Masood, Chief Planning Officer Zainullah from the Communication & Works Department, and other officials from the Education Department.
On this occasion, the Communication & Works Department gave a detailed briefing on the new schools being constructed in Haripur district under the Annual Development Programme.
The provincial minister directed the concerned authorities to pay special attention to the construction of schools in remote areas and to make arrangements for planting trees in the buildings of new schools.
He said that the shortage of school staff in Haripur district will be addressed, and for other requirements, coordination will be made with the Finance Department so that public schemes can be completed as soon as possible.
