Mohmand
In the tribal district of Mohmand, the name that stands out with the highest respect, trust, and admiration for service, sincerity, honesty, and practical leadership is Haji Hameed Khan Memon. He has never relied on claims, speeches, or publicity; instead, he has consistently proven through action that a true leader is the one who considers the pain of his people as his own and shares their burden.
Tribal elders, youth, teachers, scholars, and local communities say that today, in every street of Mohmand, only one name echoes—because Haji Sahib never sought political fame or media attention. Rather, with a sincere heart and silent efforts, he accomplished what many influential people could not achieve even with authority.
Haji Sahib launched welfare initiatives that were free from personal interest, conditions, or any form of gain—based solely on humanity, goodwill, and sincerity. He installed solar systems in dozens of mosques at his own expense, providing solar lights, fans, and batteries to ensure that prayer, Taraweeh, and religious education would never be hindered by darkness.
For students of religious seminaries, he consistently provided books, bags, uniforms, stationery, and financial assistance wherever needed. For orphans, widows, the needy, and underprivileged families, the distribution of winter blankets, ration bags, cash support, and medicines has become a hallmark of his home.
For the youth, he gifted Mohmand its largest sports facility—the Three-Cut Cricket Ground—where cricket leagues, tournaments, and sports competitions are now regularly held. This ground has become a symbol of hope, health, and a positive future for the young generation.
In the health sector, he recently organized a large free medical camp where specialist doctors provided checkups, medicines, and diagnostic tests at no cost. For people living in remote areas, this was nothing short of a blessing.
In education, Haji Sahib repaired public and private schools, installed solar lights, provided water coolers, sports equipment, and free school supplies to deserving children. According to teachers and parents, he treated education as a light that must reach every home.
His development works include link roads, repair of damaged pathways, construction of new routes, and connecting villages to main roads. In water supply schemes, he ensured boring, tanks, solar motors, pipelines, and the delivery of clean water to households—solving one of the region’s biggest challenges.
For tribal elders, he built a Jirga Hall, and for poor families, he provided home repairs, new roofs, doors, windows, and essential construction materials—reflecting his generosity and big heart.
People of the area know well that some self-interested individuals run false propaganda, but truth can never be hidden. The character of Haji Hameed Khan is itself a shining light that removes all darkness. Elders say that those spreading lies are exposing themselves, because the people have witnessed with their own eyes that his heart carries nothing but the desire to please Allah, serve humanity, and uplift the region.
Today, tribal elders collectively declare that Haji Hameed Khan Memon is our true leader—a leader known not for promises but for action, a leader who stands with his people, serves them, shares their burdens, and opens pathways for their future.
This is why the entire Mohmand community proudly says:
Haji Hameed Khan is our pride, our hope, and a guiding light for generations to come.
