Peshawar holds grand ceremony to honor APS martyrs

A grand ceremony was held in the provincial capital to pay tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School (APS) and remember their sacrifices.
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Captain (R) Sanaullah Khan, along with administrative officers and DC office staff, participated in the event.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a special prayer for the elevation of the martyrs.
Participants paid heartfelt tribute to the APS victims and expressed deep sympathy with their families.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Sanaullah Khan described the APS tragedy as a tragic chapter in Pakistan’s history that will never be forgotten.
Sanaullah Khan said the incident was a great shock for the nation, but the sacrifices of the martyrs serve as a beacon of light for the country.
He emphasized the need to promote education, peace, and brotherhood to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs, ensuring that the sacrifices of the innocent children and teachers of APS will not go in vain.
DC Peshawar furthered that these sacrifices strengthen national unity and bolster the struggle against terrorism.
Participants at the ceremony pledged to keep the memory of the martyrs alive and carry forward their mission. The event reaffirmed that the nation shares the grief of the martyrs’ families and will continue to stand by them.
