PESHAWAR: Secretary General of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Humayun Khan has directed party workers, supporters and office-bearers to gather at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on December 27 with traditional devotion and respect to observe the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. In a statement issued here, Humayun Khan said a historic public gathering would be held at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the occasion, which would be addressed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said special prayers would be offered at the exact time of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom, while poets would also present tributes in honour of the martyrs of democracy. He added that commemorative programmes would be organised across the country at divisional and district levels. These events would include Quran Khwani, prayer ceremonies, seminars and condolence gatherings to pay homage to the former prime minister. The PPP secretary general said caravans of party workers and supporters from all provinces, major cities, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir would travel to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to pay rich tributes to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
