DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A ceremony was held at the office of Deputy Commissioner here Saturday to welcome and honour the newly recruited teachers. The event was presided over by Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division, Dawood Khan and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, along with officers from the district administration, Education Department and Accounts Office attended the ceremony. Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner conveyed the message of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the newly appointed teachers. He added that they had been selected through a difficult yet fully transparent and merit-based process, and emphasized the need to uphold merit while performing their duties with dedication and sincerity. The Commissioner congratulated the teachers and highlighted that education was the foundation of social change, while teachers played a vital role in the development of society.
He urged them to perform their responsibilities with honesty and hard work to improve the overall standard of education.
He further advised the teachers to enhance their teaching skills by adopting modern teaching methods and to strive for providing quality education to students.
Stressing the importance of discipline in educational institutions, he encouraged teachers to actively contribute to the moral and academic grooming of students.
On the occasion, officers of the male and female wings of the Education Department were directed to ensure facilitation for the newly recruited teachers.
The District Accounts Officer was also instructed to resolve salary-related issues of the new appointees on a priority basis.
