ANP to mark ‘Bacha Khan Week’ from 20 th

The provincial president of Awami National Party Mian Iftikhar Hussain has announced that “Bacha Khan Week” will commence on January 20 to commemorate the 38th death anniversary Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan known as Bacha Khan and the 20th death anniversary of Khan Abdul Wali Khan.
According to the schedule, a Khatm-ul-Quran will be held at Bacha Khan Markaz, Peshawar, followed by the formal inauguration of the week-long celebrations by Central President ANP and CEO of Bacha Khan Trust, Aimal Wali Khan.
During the inaugural ceremony, Nangilay Pakhtuns will present a salute and parade, accompanied by the national anthem.
Various stalls featuring books, art, paintings, traditional handicrafts, and local cultural attire will also be set up.
In the second session, newly published books produced under the auspices of the Bacha Khan Research Center will be unveiled.
Central President Aimal Wali Khan and other party leaders will deliver special addresses and pay rich tributes to the revered leaders.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain has directed ANP district chapters across the province to organize special Khatm-ul-Quran ceremonies in their respective areas to honor the legacy of the national leaders.
He further announced that a grand public gathering will be held in Charsadda on January 23 under the auspices of ANP KP.
District officials have been instructed to mobilize party workers down to the village council (VC) level to ensure maximum participation in the event.
