LAHORE
Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has extended till February 13 interim bail of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, Azam Swati, Fawad Chaudhry and others in May 9 siege and arson cases. Judge Arshid Javed and Manzar Ali Gill of ATC heard the cases.
Former federal minister Asad Umar appeared in the court on expiry of his interim bail term. Counsels filed exemption pleas on behalf of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Fawad Chaudhry . The court approved exemption pleas. The court also approved one day exemption pleas of Azam Swati and Fawad Chaudhry.
During the hearing of the case Jamshed Cheema, Musarrat Jamshed, Sheikh Imtiaz and others appeared in the court.
The court summoned the counsels for arguments on next hearing.
Talking to media men after hearing Asad Umar said Shah Mehmood Qureshj is innocent in 5 cases.
Asad Umar appreciated Pakistan positive role over worse situation in Iran.
There is no solution except democracy in Pakistan, he added.
There is need to work out new charter of democracy.
