ISLAMABAD: Minister of State and SAPM Huzaifa Rehman on Thursday expressed profound sorrow over the Gul Plaza tragedy in Karachi and reiterated the Centre’s commitment to extend maximum support to the Sindh government for relief of the affected families, saying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stands in solidarity with them. While talking to a private news channel, he said the federal government stands shoulder to shoulder with the victims of the Gul Plaza tragedy in Karachi and reiterated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, after concluding his visit to Davos, plans to visit the city to express solidarity and review the situation. He noted that matters related to administration and immediate control fall under the provincial government’s domain, adding that timely coordination and keeping the federal government informed is important, especially when challenges go beyond provincial capacity.
