PESHAWAR
At a special ceremony held on Wednesday at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar, wherein representatives of all educational boards of the province were formally handed over the On-Screen Marking (OSM) software.
In the light of clear directives from the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chief Secretary, this software was developed to ensure the gradual elimination of manual marking, enhanced security of examination papers, transparency in digital evaluation and the complete removal of human error. Fulfilling this responsibility, the expert IT team of the Peshawar Board successfully developed a modern, secure, and comprehensive on-screen marking software within just 60 days.
During the ceremony, it was also shared that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had assigned the task of developing the E-Answer Sheet to the Peshawar Board, which was completed successfully.
All boards across the province were not only provided training on the E-Answer Sheet and on-screen marking system, but live testing sessions were also conducted. In addition, the server configuration process for all boards was completed to ensure the implementation of a uniform, transparent, and secure digital marking system throughout the province.
Officials of the Peshawar Board stated that this initiative is a memorable and revolutionary milestone in the history of education. The objective is to align the examination system with modern technology and make it transparent, reliable and in accordance with international standards.
The Board assured that it remains fully prepared to provide technical support to all educational boards and institutions at all times, in order to secure a bright and prosperous future for students.
