BF, SCCI leadership vows to resolve trades issues on priority basis

Senior office bearers of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and leadership of the Businessman Forum on Wednesday reaffirmed commitment to sustain concerted efforts to resolve trading community issues.
Speaking during a luncheon hosted by Businessman Forum in honour of Peshawar’ saddar traders attached to the mobile accessories sector, senior vice president Muhammad Nadeem assured to help resolve their concerns while outlining a strategic roadmap to foster a more favorable business environment in the region.
During the meeting, traders brought up several pressing issues that continue to affect their businesses, mostly relating to Customs, Police and FBR and other line government departments/authorities and presented a number of proposals for their immediate resolution.
Apart from leader of Businessman Forum and former FPCCI president Ghazanfar Bilour, the chamber former president SCCI and lifetime president of Anjuman e Tajran Haji Muhammad, the chamber former presidents Afzal, Faiz Muhammad Faizi, and Fazal Moqeem Khan, and former senior vice presidents Inayat Khan and Sanaullah Khan, members of executive committee Mujeebur Rehman, Shamsur Rahim, Aftab Iqbal, Adnan Nasir and Saddam Hussain, and Zahoor Khan, Monawar Khurshid, Hasnain Sheraz, Ghazanfar Savul, Rashid Iqbal Siddiqui, Saddar Gul, Sohail Javed, Ishsanullah, and SCCI Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, presidents and office bearers of various Saddar Bazar plazas, traders of mobile accessories were present in a large number in the meeting.
Muhammad Nadeem said SCCI believes in selfless services to the business community, and its doors are always open for all.
He assured traders that resolving their issues would be at the forefront on his agenda.
He informed the chamber is working on a comprehensive action plan that focuses on both immediate relief measures and long-term reforms to improve the overall business climate
SCCI fully understands the gravity of the challenges traders face on a daily basis, he added.
He said that SCCI would actively work to create a more enabling environment for traders, and their concerns would be communicated to the highest levels of government.
BF leader Ghazanfar Bilour, Haji Muhammad Afzal, former presidents and other traders’ leaders also spoke on the occasion and shed light on traders’ issues and SCCI role toward their amicable resolution.
They said BF has always delivered to the business community and clean-sweep in the last SCCI’s elections was evident that it is only representing a forum of traders and fully capable of resolving their issues.
They vowed to continue selfless services to the trading community and would raise all issues with the authorities concerned and resolve them promptly.
