Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan against reported hideouts of khwarij affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij.
During the operation, security forces engaged the militants, and after an intense exchange of fire, four khwarij were killed. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the neutralized militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
A sanitization operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining militants in the area. Authorities emphasized that the counter-terrorism campaign, under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
