Shahram khan directs authorities to avoid unnecessary construction work

Peshawar(PR):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for health Shahram Khan has directed the high ups of health and communication and works (C&W) departments to take all necessary measures for the timely completion of the developmental schemes of heath sector ensuring quality of work on these schemes in all respect so that public could soon benefit from these projects. He has also directed the concerned authorities for prudent and efficient use of funds allocated for these schemes and avoid unnecessary construction work adding that these funds are public money and every single penny of it should be spent meaningfully.
He was chairing a highly level meeting of the authorities of health and C&W department held here on Monday to review progress on the construction of various developmental schemes (both ongoing and new ones) of health sector included in the Annual Development Program (ADP) for financial year 2016-17.
The meeting was co-chaired by advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on C&W Akbar Ayub. The meeting reviewed in detail progress so for made on these schemes, status of funds availability and other related matters. These ongoing and new developmental schemes included Establishment of Peshawar Institute of Cardiology, Strengthening of the Rehabilitation Services for Physically Disabled Persons, Improvement and Standardization of DHQ Hospital Nowshera, Construction of Causality Block at DHQ Hospital Haripur, Establishment of Blood Transfusion Centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, construction of building for Gomel Medical College D.I Khan ,Establishment of Post Graduate Medical Institute at Hayatabad Medical, Establishment of Causality Block in Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar, Up gradation of Saidu Group of Hospital, Project for Strengthening Routine Immunization Program, Reconstruction of Women and Children Hospital Haripur, Face lifting of all DHQ and THQ Hospital of the province and the like.
The meeting was informed that a number of ongoing schemes were near completion.
