WSSCM Special Cleanliness Campaign

Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) has launched a special cleanliness campaign on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. All staff leaves have been cancelled, and sanitation workers will remain on duty from Chand Raat through the three days of Eid to ensure cleanliness across the city.
This was announced by Chairman Board of Directors WSSCM, Engineer Adil Nawaz, who also inaugurated the special cleanliness campaign in all fourteen union councils of Mardan city.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chairman District Zakat Committee Malik Jahanzeb, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf representative Shahid Bacha, General Manager WSSCM Muhammad Khalil Akbar, Manager HR & Admin Rahatullah, and Manager Municipal Services Muhammad Ishaq.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman Engineer Adil Nawaz stated that around 450 sanitation workers will participate in the cleanliness drive across 38 neighborhood councils, while 55 different types of vehicles will be deployed to collect and dispose waste safely.
He further said that staff will also remain available to ensure uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water to the citizens.
For primary waste collection, 26 vehicles have been allocated, including 16 Suzuki mini dumpers, 3 Dong Feng tractors, 3 rickshaw loaders, and tri-wheelers. Additionally, tractor trolleys, arm roll trucks, multi-loaders, excavators, blade tractors, and shovels will be used to transport waste outside the city for proper disposal. Road washers will also be utilized to thoroughly clean the city.
He added that a complaint cell will remain operational for public convenience, and citizens can contact the helpline in case of any issues.
He appealed to the public to cooperate with WSSCM staff during Eid so that Mardan city remains clean and beautiful.
