WSSCM successfully completed special cleanliness campaign. 1016 tons waste disposed of safely

The Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) has successfully completed its special cleanliness operation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. During the campaign, a total of 1,016 tons of waste were collected from across the city and safely disposed of. More than 450 sanitation workers and 55 vehicles participated in the operation.
Uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water was also ensured for citizens throughout the Eid holidays. Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engr. Adil Nawaz, had announced the special cleanliness drive three days prior to Eid-ul-Fitr, which continued from March 18 to March 24.
Chairman HR Committee Haroon Rashid and Chief Executive Officer Shahid Khan reviewed the cleanliness operation on the first day of Eid, appreciated the efforts of the sanitation staff, and distributed Eid gifts (Eidi), and rice packs among them. General Manager Muhammad Khalil Akbar monitored the operation on the second day of Eid, while Manager Municipal Services Muhammad Ishaq supervised the activities on the third day.
On this occasion, CEO Shahid Khan stated that during the special cleanliness drive, a total of 1,016 tons of waste were collected from 14 union councils of the city. Additionally, 35 kilometers of roads were cleaned using mechanical sweepers and road washers. Cleanliness arrangements were ensured at Eidgahs and Jamia mosques before Eid prayers, while disinfection sprays were also carried out for the convenience of worshippers.
During the cleanliness week campaign, the complaint cell received a total of 135 complaints, all of which were resolved promptly. He further added that the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the sanitation workers during the holy month of Ramadan and the days of Eid are highly commendable. Despite limited resources, the company continues to provide improved services to the citizens, he added.
