The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has intensified its crackdown on property tax defaulters, sealing multiple units in Mardan and Kohat as part of an ongoing recovery drive, officials said on Wednesday, a handout said.
In Mardan, operations were carried out in Takht Bhai under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Muhammad Khalid. Several properties were sealed for non-payment of outstanding dues.
A similar campaign is under way in Kohat, where Excise and Taxation Officer Rehmanuddin has constituted special teams to pursue major defaulters and ensure recovery of pending taxes.
Officials said legal action had been initiated against property owners who failed to clear their dues despite repeated notices. During the latest operations, multiple defaulting units were sealed in Kohat’s Ward Nos 1, 3 and 5.
The department urged property owners to pay their outstanding taxes promptly to avoid legal action, warning that the crackdown against defaulters would continue.
