Pakistan reaches staff level meeting with IMF: FM

Finance Minister (FM) Senator Aurangzeb has said Pakistan has reached staff level agreement with IMF.
It is likely to be approved by executive board soon and later the next installment will be issued.
During the meeting with representatives of S and P Global Ratings. FM exchanged views on Pakistan economic improvement and its return to international financial markets.
He said Pakistan has completed Staff level agreement with IMF. Its approval from executive board is expected soon. Next installment will be issued later.
He made mention of additional financial assistance of 3 billion dollars from Saudi Arabia and extension in period of deposit of 5 billion dollars till 2028.
External financial position will be further strengthened due to additional financial assistance and extension in deposit period.
During the meeting the FM highlighted midterm financial strategy of Pakistan saying improving economic indicators and pace of reforms provide robust foundation for improvement in the ranking of country.
