Leghari pays tribute to Allama Iqbal, calls for self-reliance and character building

Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Tuesday paid rich tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his death anniversary, saying that Iqbal’s teachings continue to offer comprehensive guidance for national development through self-reliance, character building and perseverance.

In his message, the minister said that Iqbal’s philosophy serves as a beacon of determination, courage and high ideals for the younger generation. He noted that Iqbal not only inspired youth to dream big but also taught them how to turn those dreams into reality, which is essential for the progress of any nation.

The minister further said that education and character building form the cornerstone of Iqbal’s philosophy, while the concept of selfhood (Khudi) empowers nations to achieve greatness.

He emphasized that sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges could also be found in Iqbal’s teachings, urging the nation to draw inspiration from his vision.

The minister said that a strong, sovereign and developed Pakistan could only be built by adhering to Iqbal’s ideas, which pave the way for national stability and prosperity.
