NEW YORK: Pakistan has recommended the path of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve challenges facing Korean Peninsula. Speaking during the Security Council briefing on Non-proliferation/Democratic People’s Republic of Korea today, Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Ambassador Usman Jadoon cautioned against the use of coercive or provocative actions as well as threats and heated rhetoric. He said that it is incumbent on all parties to refrain from actions that escalate the situation, to exercise restraint and respond positively to constructive proposals. Online
