ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday confirmed the bail of former lawmaker and his son in a murder and attempted murder case.A three-member bench headed by and comprising among others, heard the case. The accused were charged in connection with an alleged attack on a member of the Sindh Assembly. According to the case record, one person was killed and two others injured in the firing incident. The case had been registered in Ubauro tehsil of Ghotki district. During the hearing, counsel for the accused, argued that the complainant had political rivalry with the applicants and that the accused had been targeted for political victimization. During the proceedings, Justice Shahid Waheed remarked that it was surprising that the complainant had not suffered even a scratch, while Justice Musarrat Hilali observed that all details needed to be examined to fully understand the case. After hearing arguments from both sides, the apex court confirmed the bail of Mir Shehryar Khan Shar and Jahangir Khan Shar. DNA
