RAWALPINDI: Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi has been ranked 50th among the world’s top 500 universities in the 2026 rankings released by World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) on Saturday, becoming the only Pakistani institution to enter the global top 50. The University also secured first position worldwide in the Industrial Application category and was recognized as the top women’s university globally, marking a significant international achievement. According to WURI rankings, FJWU achieved 43rd position globally in Ethics and Integrity, 89th in Empowerment-Based Management, 92nd in Student Support and Engagement, and 71st in Inclusive Social Innovation for underserved communities. Vice Chancellor FJWU, Bushra Mirza appreciated the University’s Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) for its dedicated efforts in consistently securing international accolades across multiple global rankings. She also commended the innovative research contributions of the faculty and added, “Sustained academic excellence and research-driven initiatives played a key role in achieving the milestone”.
