PESHAWAR: Sessions court has ordered the respective police to register case in the matter of demanding alleged illegal interest on private loan . Additional Sessions judge Imran Ullah maintained in his decision the court is empowered to order for registration of FIR in such matters under KP law regarding prohibition of interest on private loans. According to decision the plaintiff Arif Khan who is owner of a private restaurant located on Jamrood road took the plea he obtained loan for the purpose of business from one Taj Wali. The accused kept on demanding illegal interest and additional amount continuously despite the return of the original amount to him. The petition said despite jirga and payment of original amount the plaintiff is being black mailed. While no action was take n even after approaching the respective police station. Upon it court was resorted to. The court said in its decision that on receipt of complaint regarding interest transaction under section 6 of KP Prohibition of Interest on private loan act 2016 , the court can order police to register case.
