Speaking at the conclusion of the walk, Mr. Wazir said the day was being observed to pay tribute to the struggle and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and to amplify their voice at the global level.
“KMU not only fulfills its responsibilities in education and research, but also feels duty-bound on matters of national and humanitarian importance,” he said.

Other speakers said the Kashmir issue was not merely a regional dispute but a significant international question of human rights and justice, and called on the international community to play an effective role in its peaceful and just resolution.
