Peshawar: Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre (NWGH) celebrated the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with great zeal and enthusiasm. A series of activities, including a Flag Hoisting Ceremony, Cake Cutting, and a special session on the significance of Independence Day, were organized at the hospital. Malik Abul Latif Awan, Chief Executive, Alliance Healthcare (Private) Limited (AHL), and Dr. Sardar Mohammad Alam, Chairman AHL, graced the occasion as guests of honour. Doctors, nurses, paramedics, administrative staff, and security personnel actively participated in the celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, Malik Abul Latif Awan highlighted the importance of freedom and paid tribute to the leaders and individuals who made great sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan. He emphasized that the true spirit of independence lies in upholding the rule of law, fulfilling civic responsibilities, promoting peace and unity, and serving humanity with dedication.
