Information Minister Shafi Jan Formally Assumes Additional Portfolio of Science Technology and Information Technology department
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan on Monday formally assumed charge of the additional portfolio of the Science Technology and Information Technology Department. Secretary Science Technology and Information Technology Abdul Basit Khan was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Science Technology and Information Technology Shafi Jan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi for entrusting him with the additional portfolio and expressing confidence in him.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, public service remains the foremost priority of the provincial government.
Shafi Jan said that, in line with the vision of Founding Chairman Imran Khan, the promotion of digital governance and the use of modern technology in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be further expanded. Effective use of technology would ensure greater transparency, efficiency and public convenience in the government system.
He said that all available resources would be utilized to further advance the province in the fields of digital governance and modern technology.
Minister Shafi Jan said that providing youth with modern technology, digital skills and new employment opportunities was among the government’s key priorities. The use of technology in the delivery of public services would be further expanded, enabling government institutions to align themselves with modern requirements.
He expressed his resolve that comprehensive measures would be taken to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a hub of the digital revolution, improve the efficiency of public service delivery and ensure that the benefits of modern technology reach the people.
