SHINE Humanity Pakistan and Taskeen Health Initiative have entered into a three-year partnership to expand access to mental health support for underserved communities across Sindh.
Under the agreement, patients at SHINE Humanity clinics in Koohi Goth, Malir, and Gharo will be able to access confidential telephonic counselling through Taskeen’s mental health helpline. SHINE Humanity will provide dedicated phone facilities and private spaces at its clinics, while Taskeen will manage referrals and follow-up with patients.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to bringing comprehensive, integrated healthcare to the communities we serve,” said Faheem Khan, Chief Executive Officer of SHINE Humanity Pakistan. “Mental health is too often overlooked in primary healthcare settings, especially in underserved areas. By working with Taskeen, we are able to offer our patients a trusted, confidential pathway to psychological support alongside the physical healthcare they already receive from us – a meaningful step forward for the families we work with every day.”
The MOU, effective for a three-year term, underscores both organizations’ shared mission to strengthen referral pathways, improve early identification of mental health concerns, and build long-term capacity within community health systems in Pakistan.
