A Station House Officer (SHO) of Mohmand police has been fined for registering a First Information Report (FIR) in violation of a decision announced by the former Khasadar and Levy Committee, committee members said.
According to the All FATA Khasadar Force Committee, the SHO allegedly violated the committee’s decision by registering an FIR, following which action was taken against him. A fine of Rs500, 000 and one sheep was reportedly imposed and collected from the SHO.
It is to be mentioned here All FATA Former Khasadar Force Committee had announced suspension of First Information Reports (FIRs) and police daily dairies in the merged tribal region, affected since 1st of September, 2026 and had warned action against those violating.
The fine money and a sheep were handed over to the All FATA Khasadar Force Committee Chairman Said Jalal Wazir and DSP, Khyber Hikmat at Bab-e-Khyber,the committee members said.
The handover was made by the DSP Mohmand Pashan Gul along with other senior police officials from Mohmand police.
For the last more than three weeks, the ex-Khasadar and Levy force in merged districts under the banner of All FATA Khasadar Force Committee has organized a protest sit-in at Bab-e-Khyber, Jamrud district Khyber, asking the government to fulfill their 22 demands including the complete merger of the former FATA Khasadar Force into the police, provision of infrastructure on the pattern of the provincial police, promotions, pensions etc.
