PESHAWAR: A 15-year-old boy drowned while bathing in a canal in Hathian Jharo area of Mardan on Sunday. According to Rescue 1122, body of the deceased was recovered from the canal after a brief effort by its officials. The victim, identified as Zakariya, son of Obaidullah, was given CPR and first aid by rescue personnel before being shifted to an RHC hospital. However, the boy died before reaching the hospital, Rescue 1122 official added. APP
