PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has sealed six marble processing units near Naguman Bridge on Charsadda Road for allegedly discharging untreated wastewater into a nearby river. According to an official statement issued here on Thursday, a team from central directorate EPA in Peshawar carried out a joint enforcement operation with the assistance of the assistant commissioner of Shalam. The inspection found that the units were discharging wastewater, contributing to pollution in the nearby river, and operating without the required pollution control systems. The agency sealed all six units for violating the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Environmental Protection Act, 2014. DLP Report
