Marriyum says Radio Pakistan is key medium to highlight govt’s measures

Islamabad: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting, and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb has said Radio Pakistan is the most important medium to highlight government’s measures for the welfare of the masses and building soft image of the country.
Speaking at a briefing at National Broadcasting House here on Thursday, she said organization should inform the nation about different programmes launched by the present government including youth business loan scheme, interest free loans scheme, youth training scheme, skill development programme, youth laptop programme, and internship programme. It should also launch awareness campaign about health of women and children.
The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting directed that a comprehensive training programme should be prepared for capacity-building of Radio professionals at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy.
Secretary Information Saba Mohsin Raza, Principal Information Office Rao Tahsin, and other senior officials of Information Ministry were also present on occasion.
Drector General Radio Pakistan Khurshid Malik briefed the Minister of State about functioning of different wings of the organization. He said Radio Pakistan has reach to 98 percent population of the country with largest network spread across the country.
