Outgoing corps commander pays farewell visit to CPO

PESHAWAR: The outgoing Corps Commander Lt Gen Hidayatur Rehman paid a farewell visit to the Central Police Office on Tuesday.
He placed a floral wreath on the monument of police martyrs at the Central Police Office, said an official statement. Later, he visited the Police Assistance Service (PAS) where he was briefed about the Complaint Management System of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
He visited the Data Analysing Section (DAS) through which an effective database has been created for monitoring police activities. Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani appreciated the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Lt Gen Hidayatur Rehman appreciated the sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in the war on terror and the endeavours of the IGP for organising police along professional lines. He categorised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police as the most forward looking and responsive force of the country and ensured long term support of Pak Army to KP Police.The IGP presented the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police souvenir to the outgoing corps commander.
Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani on Tuesday rejected the allegations made by former provincial Minister for mines and minerals Ziaullah Afridi against Chief Minister Parvez Khattak and the CM Advisor Mian Jamshed-ud-Din for illegal mining in district Harripur and Nowshera. Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club, Mushtaq Ghani said that if Ziaullah Afridi has no trust upon Ehtisab Commission then he should go to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) instead of holding press conferences against the senior leadership of PTI. He said that Afridi has been released on bail so how he can use media to show himself innocent. Mushtaq Ghani said that the Chief Minister has decided to go to court and will file a defamation case against him (Ziaullah).
He added that Ehtisab Commission is fully independent institution and no one can interfere in its affairs. He said that Zia not only targeting the Chief Minister but he was also targeting the whole provincial government. He made it clear that there is no space for corrupt people in Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.
