PESHAWAR: The District Administration and and Livestock Department seized and disposed of 1200 litres contaminated milk and arrested eight culprits during separate actions in the provincial capital on Thursday. According to details, the district administration and Livestock Department teams on a tip-off conducted joint operations against milk sellers involved in selling adulterated milk at Faqirabad, Yousafabad and Dilazak Road of Peshawar. During operation, 1200 liter adulterated milk prepared from baking powder and banned powdered milk was seized and eight culprits involved in the illegal practice were held. The seized contaminated milk was disposed off later and the detainees were being interrogated after registering separate cases against them. INP
