KHYBER: A traffic warden was shot and dead and a pedestrian got injure by unknown armed persons here at square of Bara Bazaar on Thursday night The police and locals informed that undisclosed armed persons opened indiscriminate firing on the traffic police, identified as Mustafa son of Rotaz Khan, of Qamber Khel and killed him on the spot. A nearby pedestrian also sustained bullet wounds. The assassins managed to escape successfully after committing crime, locals said. Soon after the event, the police officials and Rescue 1122 crew rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area and shifted the wounded and body to Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar for medico-legal formalities.
