Professor Ghazala Kiran Awan, a distinguished educationist from the renowned village of Salhad in Abbottabad and the current Principal of Government Girls College Nawan Shehr, has been promoted from Grade-20 to Grade-21 by the provincial government in recognition of her remarkable academic, administrative, and teaching services.
Her promotion has been widely welcomed by educational circles, colleagues, students, and residents of Abbottabad, who described the achievement as a proud moment for the region and a testament to dedication, honesty, and professional excellence.
Belonging to the field of Mathematics, Professor Ghazala Kiran Awan has an illustrious educational career spanning over 26 years. Throughout her professional journey, she served in various cities including Abbottabad, Mansehra, Havelian, Chitral, and other parts of the province, where she earned admiration for her competence, discipline, and leadership abilities.
She remained associated with Government Postgraduate Girls College Abbottabad for several years, where she served as Vice Principal as well as Acting Principal. Later, she was appointed Principal of Government Girls College Nawan Shehr, where she played a key role in improving both academic and extracurricular activities, helping the institution achieve a prominent status.
According to educational circles, Professor Ghazala Kiran Awan is considered among the most capable, talented, and honest principals in the Higher Education Department.
