In Pakistan’s test cricket history, the first captain Abdul Hafeez Kardar and the most successful test batter Younas Khan has been inducted onto Pakistan Cricked Board Hall-of –Fame.
Earlier Fazal Mehmood, Abdul Qadir, Haneef Mehmood, and Zaheer Abbas, are has been inducted into this PCB hall of fame along with Javed Miandad, Waseem Akram and Waqar Younas.
Abdul Hafeez Kardar and Younas Khan became the part of this Hall of Fame after a transparent voting.
This voting panel was comprised of Javed Miandad, Waseem Akram, Waqar Younas, Sana Mir, Arooj Mumtaz, Alia Rasheed, Dr. Nouman Niaz, Qamar Ahmed and Waheed Khan.
They said that Abdul Hafeez Kardar made the dream of cricket and Younas Khan was the cricketer who always worked hard to get success in all format Cricket.
Chairman of the cricket body Rameez Raja said they both are the stars.
Shahid Kardar. The son of Abdul Hafeez Kardar said that my father with his own skill made a team of few club cricketers and introduced Pakistan cricket to the world and I am very proud of him.
Former Captain Younas Khan said he feels proud for induction into the hall of fame.
Further he said this is not less to any honor for becoming the part of the list of those great cricketers.
He said Success never becomes because of any individual but it is the because the role played by every stake holder of the team and for that he thanked to family, players, captians and sports staff for the respect and honor.
Further he added that he will always feel sorry for the later part of cricket which he could not played in own country but the fans has always gave him respect and honor.
