PESHAWAR: SSP Operations Haroon Rashid Khan has said that police force playing key role against terrorism, saying accountability in the department will be continued. Addressing an event held at Malik Saad Police Lines to award certificates of appreciation to those performed best during Muharram, Mr Khan said that all available resources would be utilized to control street crimes and take abrupt action against anti-social elements. During the ceremony DSPs, SDPOs and SHOs who demonstrated best performance during Muharram were awarded certificates of appreciation. The ceremony was also attended by, SSP Investigation Peshawar Nisar Ahmed was also present on the occasion. On this occasion, SSP Operations issued instruction to quarter concerned to take more effective measures to curb anti-social elements, adding police officers can play an important role in the fight against organized crime as well as in eradicating social evils. Mr Haroon added that the accountability process in the police department will continue in the same manner. There will be further improvement in the performance of competent and hardworking officers and personnel will be encouraged. Haqnawaz Shinwari
