Islamabad: Islamabad Police have successfully apprehended an accused involved in a case of child abuse and obtained his remand from the relevant court for further investigation, a public relations officer said. He said that, on 27 July 2024, the Sihala police team received information from a plaintiff who stated that his 12-year-old nephew was sexually assaulted by an accused named Danish Ali. Upon receiving the information, the Sihala police team registered Case No. 160 under Section 376(iii)/377-B. The DIG Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, took immediate notice of the sexual abuse case and directed the officers to apprehend the culprit on a priority basis. A specialized police team was formed under the supervision of the SSP Investigation.
