Mardan: The district administration has become active to ensure the transparent and dignified distribution of the Ramadan Package. Additional Assistant Commissioner Maryam Barki visited various retailers and conducted a detailed review of the facilities and financial assistance being provided to deserving individuals. During the visit, immediate action was taken on a complaint received by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. An inspection of a shop revealed that an illegal deduction of Rs. 500 was being made from the assistance amount of deserving beneficiaries. Acting promptly, the district administration sealed the shop and arrested the individual involved in the illegal practice. On this occasion, the Additional Assistant Commissioner strictly directed the concerned retailers to provide the full amount to beneficiaries in accordance with government policy and to completely avoid any form of illegal deductions or corruption.
