Mayor Mardan Himaytullah Mayar issued a directive to the officials to take stick action against the illegal townships, housing societies and violation of approved maps, conversion of agricultural land into townships.
He issued the directive while chairing a meeting arranged in connection with illegal townships at his office. Officials including AAC, TMO, Agriculture officers, TMA officers and CNW officers attended the meeting.
Mayor told the meeting that very soon action will be taken against the illegal towns and illegal townships and housing societies will be closed and people will be freed from frauds.
He also appealed to the masses to get information about the status of any housing society before buying a plot whether the housing society, township duly approved by Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) or not.
He added that people should also find out whether the approved map has not been approved by any housing society or commercial plaza and market. He added that the facilities of electricity, gas, telephone etc.
Will not be provided to the housing society, plaza etc. in violation of the approved map and in addition the government will close the cell completely.
