Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sunday paid a surprise visit to different markets and hospitals on the instruction being given by the Deputy Commissioner Dir Lower Iftikhar Ahmad here.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Farsan Abdul Wali Khan also inspected various points and checked the free flour distribution process. Besides checking the distribution he also met with the people present on this occasion and discussed matters regarding distribution at various sites in Timargarah.
ADC General on the demand of the people instructed the concerned quartets to increase the number of counters to ensure due facilities to the general public. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General/Focal) Farsan Abdul Wali Khan.
He also directed the administration to ensure distribution of flour in a transparent and orderly manner and to increase the number of counters for the facilities. In the light of public complaints, the Additional Deputy Commissioner inspected various butcher shops and fined several butchers for overselling and non-compliance with the official price list.
Besides this, the Additional Deputy Commissioner also visited DHQ Hospital and reviewed the treatment facilities for the patients. He also checked the availability of medicines and presence of doctors on duty in the emergency and general wards.
There were public complaints regarding the sale of expensive food, non-standard food, irregularity in the sale of government flour etc. In the form of any complaints, the district administration can be contacted on the following numbers and action can be taken, he said during his chat with the general public.
Official price list for vegetables, fruits and live poultry has already been given to the shopkeepers and those violating the government price list action would be taken against them by imposition of heavy fines and arrest or both at the same time.
