MARDAN: The president of Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Zahir Shah has said that presenting a public budget is a big challenge in the current economic conditions, but he has stressed on the government to seriously consider the problems of businessmen in the next budget and reduce the interest rate. Not to be burdened with low and additional taxes, He said that without political stability, the national economy cannot be strengthened. The business community across the country is worried about the high cost of electricity, gas and taxes. Due to the daily increase in prices and expensive raw materials, it has become impossible for them to keep the wheel of industry and trade active. He suggested that in order to increase the revenue, not only such a sector should be brought into the tax net, but also the unnecessary expenditure should be reduced, the search for new resources, the doors of tax evasion through corruption and collusion should be closed.
