Afghan delegation visits Agriculture Uni Peshawar

A high-level Afghan delegation on Saturday visited the University of Agriculture Peshawar and met with the Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Jahan Bakht.
The delegation headed by Dr. Nazar Muhammad Irfan, Director of Foreign Affairs and Scholarships, Ministry of Higher Education, Afghanistan including Afghan officials from the Afghan International Islamic University (AIIU)accompanied by Jehanzeb, Project Director HEC and Mujahid Aziz, Project Manager, HEC visited UET Peshawar here today. The purpose of the visit was to see an opportunity for initiating the joint faculty exchange program with the Afghan International Islamic University.
Prof Dr Jahan Bakht said that all facilities have been provided to the Afghan students studying in the University of Agriculture Peshawar, graduates from the University Afghan students are serving in various fields in Afghanistan which is a matter of pride not only for Afghanistan but also for Pakistan and Agricultural University Peshawar.
Agricultural University Peshawar will provide support in teaching, research and technical matters in agricultural education of Afghanistan. He said that the religion, culture, etc. of the two Islamic brother countries are common.
The Director of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan Dr. Nazr Muhammad Irfan thanked the Vice VC of the university Dr Jahan Bakht for his welcome and hospitality.
We do not feel alienated in Pakistan, Agriculture University Peshawar should increase the admission quota of our students and provide facilities in the visa process for our students coming on scholarships, the representative requested from the university administration.
Dr Jahan Bakht also thanked Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr Mukhtar Ahmed for playing a key role in ensuring maximum assistance and technical assistance from Pakistani universities to the universities of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
